Honorary PRAC Lifetime Member ~ Mr. Ed Begley Jr.

Noted actor and environmentalist Ed Begley Jr has been a tireless
supporter of environmental and parks issues since the early 1970’s.

From his first electric car (a golf cart style vehicle) to his current
self-sufficient home powered by solar energy. Mr. Begley has
served as a role model for Californians looking to live lightly upon
our planet. Mr. Begley has also generously given his time to many
parks and environmental groups serving on the boards of such as
the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, California League of
Conservation Voters, the Natural Resources Defense Council,
The Coalition for Clean Air, Heal the Bay and the Santa Monica
Baykeeper .

In addition to his volunteer work and personal commitment to
the environment Mr. Begley has authored a book Living Like Ed: A
Guide to the Eco-Friendly Life to share his knowledge with others.

For his commitment to the environment, parks and conservation
the Park Rangers Association of California has selected Ed Begley
Jr. as our Honorary Lifetime Member for 2010.
