William Penn Mott 1991

William Penn Mott has devoted his life to parks. He has directed park agencies at all levels. These include City of Oakland Parks Department, the Oakland City Zoo, East Bay Regional Park District, California Department of Parks & Recreation, and the National Park System. He also founded the California Parks Foundation. He has earned a reputation of being innovative, daring, and tireless in his management of parks.
